My self-published book Place, Impermanence, Memory was completed in 2011.
What began as a simple, selective catalog of my gum work over the past decade slowly, organically, turned into a work of love and art. The book is 100 pages in length. It includes a 27 page illustrated introduction covering aesthetics of photography, the background and history of gum printing, and includes a step by step exposition of the process. The remainder of the book consists of 34 individual plates, each with its own title page.
The original 25 handbound copies sold out. Copies on demand are available for purchase for $300.
